Project details:
In order to secure the long-term space requirements, the existing primary school on Bruderholz was extended with an additional wing of the building, which had to be well integrated into the listed overall complex. As the first public Minergie-Eco building in the canton of Basel-Stadt, it also served as a showcase project with an exemplary function. Energy efficiency and eco guidelines therefore became the focus of the authorities and those responsible for construction. All toilet facilities and the library in the existing wings of the building were refurbished.
The handling of light and the required media is important in these buildings. Visual tasks and energy consumption are just as much a focus as sophisticated concepts for work connections, technical equipment and special requirements.
