Project details:

In addition to the police base, Schwarzwaldstrasse 100 is also home to the Basel-Stadt traffic control centre and the control and monitoring of the canton’s entire motorway network. The challenge of the conversion was to realise the entire technical renewal of the security systems and the structural interventions without interrupting operations. The scope also included the installation of additional technical security systems such as an emergency power group, security lighting and an access control system. The entire base had to be disconnected from the city’s power grid for the defined work, which meant that replacement grid measures had to be realised in collaboration with the Industrielle Werke Basel IWB. The IT systems were modernised and the lighting for the team’s workstations was brought up to current standards.
