Project details:
Together with the former Binningen Weiherschloss and the Balik-Haus, the Imhofhaus forms a single complex. The historic fief or tithe house was built around 1592 (assumption). In the course of planning and construction, a hotel with 23 rooms and a breakfast room including kitchen was realised in the Imhof House and its extension as a supplement to the castle restaurant, and the civil registry office of the Canton of Baselland was established on the ground floor of the old building. The building is included in the cantonal inventory of protected cultural monuments.
The special challenge here is to treat the building fabric and surfaces with the utmost care. New solutions are constantly being developed in close co-operation with the preservation of historical monuments and architecture.
