Project details:

As with all bank buildings, the issue of security is omnipresent in Allschwil. However, it should not visibly detract from the design. Cameras for personal and property protection were not allowed to be intrusive for customers, but were nevertheless to provide high-resolution information thanks to their positioning and technology. Fire protection, burglary protection and security lighting had to provide protection and security in the background without being disruptive in the foreground. The high level of technology in the workstations should not be visible to customers, and controls and connections should be discreetly accessible. The lighting in the customer area became part of the design, while the employees’ work on the monitors determined the design.
