Project details:
The Basel-Landschaft building insurance company criticised the existing situation at the Liestal secondary school and demanded appropriate fire protection measures. This included rescue and escape routes as well as monitoring and alarm systems in classrooms and ancillary rooms. Safety lighting, fire alarm systems, evacuation systems and SHEVS had to be retrofitted. In addition, the guidelines for the illumination of traffic routes in the entire school complex were not met. The consequence was a completely new design concept for the corridor and staircase lighting.
The handling of light and the required media is important in these buildings. Visual tasks and energy consumption are just as much a focus as sophisticated concepts for work connections, technical equipment and special requirements.
