Project details:

The St. Jakob Arena can accommodate a total of 6612 visitors with 4126 seats and 2486 standing places. In addition to most ice sports such as ice hockey, figure skating, ice dancing and ice skating, it is also suitable for ice revues, concerts and other cultural events. It was precisely this versatility that placed demands on the rink’s installations and equipment. In addition to the playing field with lighting levels for TV broadcasts, stands, wet rooms and team rooms, facilities such as refrigeration technology, catering and a commercial kitchen also had to be planned. Even in the preliminary project, issues such as connected load and power requirements for stadium operation posed major challenges, as comparative values were difficult to obtain for obvious reasons.
