Project details:
The former farm was probably built in the 17th century. The unique architectural monument comprises a residential building and an outbuilding, which was connected to stables and can therefore be considered a farmstead. The ground floor of the residential building was sensitively converted into a bakery. The floors above were carefully converted into a flat, in which a 17th century vine painting came to light during the renovation work. A load-bearing steel structure was built to minimise the impact on the barn’s structure, allowing it to be used as a multi-storey building. Today, the barn houses facilities for visitors with sporting ambitions.

The special challenge here is to treat the building fabric and surfaces with the utmost care. New solutions are constantly being developed in close co-operation with the preservation of historical monuments and architecture.
